Food Tours in Emilia-Romagna

I'm doing research for a family vacation to Italy (June 2016) and have not found a lot of information on Food Tours in the Bologna, Modena, & Parma areas. I am specifically looking for a tour that includes the production of Parmigiano-Reggiano, Parma Ham, and Balsamic Vinegar...all in one tour if possible. We plan to stay in Bologna and will not have a car. Any information and recommendations would be appreciated.

http://www.italiandays.it with Alessandro! If you want to have a FUN tour that will have you laughing while learning, he is your tour guy. Picks you up at your hotel around 7 am, off to pick up a few others in a van of 5 and on to see the production of Parmigiano-Reggiano meeting up with a few other vans of 5. Group of around 15-20 meeting the producers, tasting the cheese, learning how the ham ages and seeing the generations of Balsamic Vinegar in their casks, ending with a delicious lunch at an agriturismo. Italian Days Food Experiences. No prior payment or deposit, just register from your home and be ready on the morning of the tour. Returns you to your hotel around 4 pm. Brilliant day!

Glad to see you got some tour recs. Regarding restaurants, I would say that you can find plenty of good ones if you read the menus with a critical eye, as in most cities. There may not be one particular stop that satisfies all the delicacies you expect in this region. (I would love to relive a fabulous 8-course agritourismo dinner that I enjoyed 20 years ago, but those old ladies, sadly, are no longer cooking.)

I think that Cristiano Bonino of Food.Stories.Travel (http://www.foodstoriestravel.com) could help you in organizing your trip. He is northern italian and now he organizes travels eating and learning, connecting with local food producers who care about the environment, support the local community and believe in sustainable practices. He also organizes wine and bike tours. I traveled with him once and I had an unforgettable experience.
