Has anyone done a really great food tour in Rome? We will be traveling in May and thought about doing one. Thanks!
Check out Eating Italy. I did both the Twilight Trastavere tour and the Testaccio tour. The Trastavere one was probably better, but I found both quite enjoyable. The guides are great, and you will have your fill of food from some terrific neighborhood gems. It may seem pricey, but I thought it was a good value for what you get and the time you take. 10/10
We did the Trestevere (did I spell that correctly?) Eating in Italy tour with my husband, son, as now daughter-inlaw. We all loved it. Seemed exoensive, but we all thought it was well worth it. So much fun, and really good food!
We used Katie Parla for a tour of Testaccio and Trastevere. We enjoyed it quite a bit. Have a great time

I booked the tour from the Roman Guy (recommended in Rick's Italy guide) - you get a discount with the RS code. It was well worth it, great guide, lots of food and a very good walking tour, starting with the market in Campo de' Fiori, then through Trastevere and ending with gelato back across the Tiber. It's a small group tour, so book early. I waited a bit too long (in February) and didn't get my preferred evening - still had a great time.
Another recommendation for the Eating Italy Trastevere tour. We learned about the neighborhood itself while sampling food in a variety of places (plus, of course, a sit-down dinner and gelato for dessert).
