We're going to be spending a couple weeks in Pienza in October, and I'd like to prepare some meals in our accommodations. Anyone have suggestions for food markets or food specialty shops in town? Also, is there a local food specialty that we shouldn't miss?

Locals mostly shop at the Coop supermarket, and on Friday morning there is an open air farmers’ market at the large parking lot on the north side outside of the historical center.
Otherwise on the Corso (the Main Street in the historical center) there are several specialty shops that sell local products to the many tourists.
Pienza is famous for the “formaggio pecorino di Pienza” (Pienza’s sheep cheese). Every food shop will sell it.
