Food market near Positano

Any suggestions for a local food market, preferably an outside weekly market near Positano? Anywhere along the Amalfi coast? Sorrento? We have rented an apartment for a week in September and need to find a good source for food to cook.

Sorrento market is on a Tues morning. Held in the carpark on Via San Renato Amalfi Coast - Amalfi on Wed from 8.00 am to 1.00 pm. Street address Via Ercolano. Praiano on Sat from 5.00 pm to 8.00 pm. Street address Via Costantinopoli (clothes, fruit and vegetables, flowers) Maiori on Fri from 8.00 am to 1.00 pm. Street address Piazza del Mercato. Minori
on Thu from 8.00 am to 1.00 pm. Street address Lungomare California. Ravello on Tue from 7.30 am to 1.30 pm. Street address Piazza Duomo Parking (not during August). Vietri sul Mare on Wed from 8.00 am to 1.00 pm. Street address Piazzetta Ferrigno. These markets major in clothes, shoes and household goods as well as the food stalls. You can buy good produce in the local grocers/greengrocers, you will see the local farmers delivering their goods on a daily basis.

Thanks, Linda. I was hoping for just this kind of list. Will be arriving on Saturday so we will try to go to Praiano between 5 and 8 PM for vegetables. We're staying just above Positano. Do you have any suggestions for the closest market that would sell meat/fish/pasta and other basic cooking ingredients?

Afraid I'm a Sorrento person and have only visited Positano on day trips where our spending radar was set on somewhere to buy gelato and eat! However, I have noticed little deli food shops on the road down to the beach as well as a small Sisa supermarket at the top end of Via Pasitea. Maybe someone who has actually stayed and food shopped there will be able to help. Another quite fun way, if you have your accom address, is to use Google Sreet View and see what you can spot nearby.

Great idea, Linda. I'll do that now.

Maybe better: use Google map but choose "search nearby" and put in "groceries." I always love using this feature to find restaurants and shops near where we're staying.
