Hello , in two weeks going to Italy , saw the post about bringing home hard cheese "that is a thought ".. my husband is not much for "stuff " from stores but food , YES.. So the other day he said once he had some really good Anchovies "not for me at all " but is there a special kind you can buy at a local market that is VERY good.. I sure would like to bring him something even it's a small jar / container. I do pack light ! Any suggestion helpful . Staying near Forum area / Capo de Africa street..
Restrictions on bringing food into the US can be very tricky. My advice is to buy your husband a food item from one of stores located in the airport departure are. When we flew out of Rome recently, there were so many stores which cater to people with the same dilemma as you and the assortment is huge! If you really want to shop for him in Rome, I would suggest picking up a leather belt or something utilitarian AND food-stuff from the airport. Have a great time!
