Has anyone used a food delivery service to your hotel in Rome and if so, which one? I was thinking that there may be a night during my trip in 2 weeks where I'd like to eat in the room after a long day of sightseeing.
Ask the hotel. They may have an established relation with a delivery service. I have not seen delivery services advertised BUT was not looking either. I cannot imagine eating in a hotel room while in Rome but that is personal preference.
Or just pick something up at a market along the way.
There are plenty of rosticcerie and Tavola calda where you can put together a meal.
I just learned the term, "rosticceria." This is a restaurant that may have a few seats, but does 'take out' for Italy. Perhaps your google map or tripadvisor can point you to one of these on the way back to your hotel?
I plan to stop by the store also and grab some eats but I thought it might be nice to grab a pizza for a night or have it delivered to me in my hotel room (not Dominoes or Pizza Hut...lol...from a real Roman restaurant). I have a lot of early mornings scheduled and am a solo traveller so I won't be staying out too late. Has anyone heard of Just-Eat? Or have used them in Rome? I'll only be doing this once or twice...most nights I will eat out.
A rosticceria sounds perfect! Thanks for the info!
We used Deliveroo in London and it has recently come to Rome. Deliveroo Italy.
Pizza would most likely be pickup, but some do have delivery.
Thank you, Laurel! That's perfect!
