Food budget for Milan & Florence& Geneva

Planning a nine day tour to Italy and Switzerland.Trying to get a sense of a budget for food. Would $100/day be realistic..? I know Geneva is more expensive than Italy .Please give me your thoughts..

So many variables. One, two, four people? Assume two. Two meals a day? Breakfast included with room? Eat light, eat heavy? Fancy meals or picnics? All impact the budget but $50/day/person is a good starting perhaps a bit on the low side if you have a many nice meals with wine, etc. Our target is closer to $75/day/person and can hit a hundred. We talking $s not Euro.

That would be on the light side if 3 adults. Still tight for 2 adults and a child.

Sure, per person is far more reasonable. If we can get a good breakfast at the B&B/hotel, a light pickup (cheese, bread, fruit) lunch at a open market or even grocery store and then nice, sit down evening meal, we can hold it to $50/person. If we have to have breakfast then it will push $75.
