I will be in Cinque Terre for two days in October, staying in Vernazza. Can anyone please recommend where to eat and drink? I have heard so many wonderful things about the seafood, pesto, and wine and need some ideas. I will be on my own, so I am looking for more casual eateries that have bar seating or are just good for party-of-one eating and drinking in general. Also, what types of wines would be best to try while I'm there? I am a bar owner, so I am familiar with alcohol but have never worked too specifically with wine enough to be an expert. Thanks in advance for any information!

Not in Vernazza but give Cantina di Miky in Monterosso a try. Snag a seat on the terrace, if possible. Also, while we didn't focus on wine, that one offers a nice selection of regional craft brews. Order up a sampler flight if they still offer them?
Manuel knows his stuff so I'm certain he will set you up with some great wines, too.
