Follow-Up to Rome Flamini Domus Hotel Problem last June

Hi Everyone, I wrote in June about a hotel problem I had. I won't repeat the whole thing again. In short, I booked a room at Flamini Domus through booking.com. Hotel manager Giorgio did not honor my room guarantee upon arrival.
I returned after an excellent vacation and contacted booking.com about all the trouble I had. I told booking.com that they may want to be proactive and warn others who booked this place. Don't know if booking.com took any action. Booking.com was friendly and told me to send a copy of hotel bill, etc of the hotel we ended up staying at and booking.com would see what it could do. I had trouble tracking down charges from hotel and Rome travel agency. I emailed B.C. and was told to send in a copy of my credit card statement with charges. So when I got the bill, I faxed it in. I was then politely informed that B.C. could not be of further assistance. Okay, I wasn't expecting a refund from B.C. in the first place. I was glad that I got a cash refund directly from hotel. But, why have me send in info. in the first place if there isn't going to be any reimbursement? It was a waste of my time and effort.
I gave a negative tripadvisor review for Flamini. Others in the last couple of months have posted negative reviews as well. Actually, after reading some of the newer reviews, I was glad that I got a cash refund and went elsewhere. Giorgio at Flamini is scamming others credit cards. I dodged a serious bullet here. Booking.com no longer books for this place.

Even though you didn't get the $$ FROM Booking.com, they may have put enough pressure on the hotel in your behalf to get the refund. Booking.com is one of the more reliable reservation services IMHO. Thanks for the follow up. Booking.com did the right thing by removing them from their "inventory." Glad this worked out for you. T.A. is less reliable for recommendations usually than Booking.com
