Flying to Italy via Germany (Lufthansa operated by UA) - Covid-19 Requirements?

Hello. I’m flying to Italy via Germany this coming week.
I know that since June 1 2022 the Italian government does not require any green pass, any vaccine certification, or any testing to enter Italy.

However United sent an email stating that our flight to Rome has Covid testing requirements.
Has anyone here flown to Italy via United since June 1 and had to show any type of Covid test to board the plane from the US?

I suspect United just hasn’t updated their communications
We are flying United EWR to MXP in September and there is nothing in my Travel Ready section about COVID doc
Just the usual passport requirement

When we flew to Rome in April the Travel Ready section did have the COVID doc requirement listed

Have you checked your Travel Ready?

I have the United app and just checked the Covid requirements for entry into Italy and there are none, as you said. Even if one is unvaccinated. So they probably haven’t changed that information yet. Buon viaggio.

I got similar info from United before I flew to Oslo with a transfer in Brussels on June 14. Once my heart started beating again, I realized the information was incorrect. I just ignored it. I did manage to upload my CDC card to the United website; I don't know whether that was why no one asked to see the card. Maybe Norway no longer requires proof of vaccination for entry.

We flew to Italy via Germany in April on Eurowing (Star Alliance partner). We had all the paperwork required and was never ask for any of it. We just returned to the US this week with no Covid required paperwork necessary.
