We need to book our 2 weeks trip in July. Original itinerary is for LOndon-paris and switzerland but with the volcanic ashes. I am thinking of flying into Italy. We have been to Venice ( Love Venice), Rome and Florence.so was thinking if it's a good idea to fly into italy instead of London. If we decide to do Italy, cinque Terra or amalfi coast? Thanks
I agree, don't change your plans, as your flight can be affected whether or not you are flying over that part of the N. Atlantic or not. Plus, to get to Italy, from Chicago for instance, the plane flies in an arc that takes you over Nova Scotia and the N. Atlantic and then back down across Spain. You could very easily be just as affected by ash flying to Italy.
