Hello, I just need your advice again!! I didn't realize a portion of your time is wasted on travel... Is it doable to leave Naples early morning to Rome to catch our plane back to the US? The plan is May 15 leave Naples at 615am arrive at Roma Termini at 720 am then get the Express Train to FCO to catch the 1145 am flight. any insights? thanks

I wouldnt recommend it. Things can go wrong. Strikes, delays. I'd stay in Rome the last night and avoid the stress. Besides it's not that Rome is a horrible place to spend your last evening.

carmen, For your last night in Rome, you could have a look at either Hotel Sonya or Hotel Aberdeen. Both are reasonably close to Termini. If you'd like less costly accommodations, you could also consider staying in a Hostel as there are a few in that area - €35 a night is good for Rome. Happy travels!

I agree with the others, stay in Rome the night before. There are too many variables that could cause you to miss your flight. You don't want to end a fantastic vacation stressed out over making connections. Spend the last night in Rome knowing that you will easily be able to reach the airport.

thanks again everyone! Ok im on a hunt now for a one day hotel in Rome. Thanks Ken for the recommendation. Ill check if either hotels are available.

For our one night stays in Rome we use Hotel Contilla - 3 stars - and one block south of Termini out the side door. We have also used a shared shuttle from Sonya which was very convenient and only slightly more than the L Express.
