We are taking our first trip to Italy and are flying into Venice in late April, then going to Florence, and finally Cinque Terre. I am looking for suggestions of where to fly out of near Cinque Terre. Thanks!

The closest airports are Genoa and Pisa.
If you choose Genoa, get an early morning train to Genoa. If you choose Pisa (like I am doing) I am staying in Lucca overnight, and Pisa airport is about 1/2 hour away.

Pisa would probably be the closest. You will find limited direct flights from the smaller airports to the US.
other spots would be Genoa and Florence. Milan
Malpensa is a large international airport with lots of direct flights but not as close.
