flying in Europe

Hi there
Taking our adult sons to Europe this spring! =) Most of our travel is via train and bus; however saw a great deal online.
Looking at purchasing tickets from Florence to Paris via AirFrance with party of 5 and carry-on bags, of course.
Has anyone flown with them before?
What is your experience?
How early do we need to arrive at the airport before departure time?

Thank you for replying!

I' e flown AF from FLR to CDG a million times. You don't need to get to the Florence airport 2 hours ahead of departure. One hour is enough. It's a small airport and it's a small Airbus 318

Check Easyjet as well as when we did the same trip a couple of years ago it was MUCH cheaper for one way flights -- and in many times cheaper. It flies out of Pisa which is considered an airport of FLorence. It is a fairly quick bus or train ride to Florence SMN.

Should you be in another French city than Paris, check also volotea.
Ryanair may also sometimes be an option. Their airports are somewhat distant but they run a bus to reach it.
Check their website.
