Hello, i'm planning on visiting Amsterdam for a while but ultimately want to go to Venice. I've never flown on EasyJet. What have your experiences been with that airline? thanks, Mary
IMO of the various discount airlines I've used, Easyjet is the best of the bunch. But they don't fly from AMS to Venice. When I did this route a couple of years ago, I used KLM. I only needed a own-way ticket, but to save money I purchased a RT fare and threw away the unused portion.
According to www.skyscanner.com, you can fly easyJet from Amsterdam to London Gatwick and then easyJet from Gatwick to Venice Marco Polo. You'll need to book separate tickets, but the combined fare will be very reasonable (around $70 US) if you book well in advance.
No experience with EasyJet but did fly the el cheapo seats from Brussels-Venice on Brussels Air. Something like $99. It wasn't easy getting the seats, I think we used travelocity or a similar site. The seats showed but wouldn't process on line. We had to call to get the flight and price. The cheap seats didn't give us a free soft drink. But that's minor. Had to buy one if we wanted it. One bag was included in the $99. For an hour and a half flight, it did what it was supposed to do. Got us to Venice. Would do it again.
