Hi everyone. My wife and I are flying back to the states from Milan. (Milan Linate Airport). Anyone have recommendations for hotels near the airport? We will be there for a couple of days.

Where are you changing planes? I don't believe there are any flights direct to the States from Linate.
Linate is close in and you can get there from Central Milan a number of ways including by the new M4 Metro line. So look at staying Central Milan. Something around San Babila, near the Metro station and walking distance to the Duomo would work.

It has to be a connect flight to somewhere else in Europe. The is nothing around either airport to see or do and both are some distance from Milan with Linate being closest. I would stay in Milan and catch public transit to the airport for the flight. Sam has a good idea.

Stay downtown. Piazza San Babila is an excellent suggestion, which is walking distance from the Duomo, that way you can catch the M4 metro without having to change trains. The M4 goes to Linate. The journey from the San Babila station to Linate is 12 minutes. If you have substantial luggage and prefer a taxi, the cost shouldn’t be over 30-35€ (5 miles but the fare is based on the meter, so it varies depending on traffic)

Be aware that the M4 metro doesn't start running until 6:00 AM. If you need to be at the airport earlier, be aware that the M4 replacement buses will continue running all night. So it's best to check these bus stops before choosing your hotel.

My husband and I now stay at the Novotel Milano Linate Aeroporto on our night in Milan before our flight back to the UK. The hotel has a shuttle to the airport at various times throughout the day. Also there is a tram (Number 24) that runs close to the hotel and central Milan (just by the Duomo) until late evening which enables us to spend the afternoon/evening in Milan before an easy journey back to the hotel.

We flew out of Linate this past May, 2025. We stayed at the Hotel Berna, about a block from Milan Centrale. Hotel Berna has a great breakfast and happy hours. There is a shuttle bus from the train station to either airport, but if it's early morning, have the hotel call a taxi. The trip is about 15 minutes and the taxi cost reasonable.
