Any suggestions? My boyfriend & I are trying to arrange a two week trip to Italy and want to start in Tuscany. The idea is to spend the first week in the Tuscan area and then the last week traveling south. We don't want to take a tour, and naturally, we'd like to have the best experience without breaking our budget. If anyone has any ideas, we'd be most appreciative. Thanks!

You must do the wine tasting at Castello di Verrazzano. We took the bus from Florence. It was a fun, fantastic experience for us in November of 2008. The tour was great and the 4 course wine tasting lunch was incredible. Our tour guide's name was Fillippo and he was very knowledgeable and we certainly enjoyed our time with him. You can't go wrong going to Verrazzano!!!
