Florence Wine Tour Suggestions

Hello all. I have received some fantastic, helpful advice from others here so I have another question. I read through other threads on wine tours out of Florence but I did not find much posted relatively recently. We are looking for a full day food and wine tour with transportation based out of Florence this September. We will not have a vehicle. We are are looking for something a little more than a basic group/cattle whirlwind tour (we are both semi-professional chefs). That last bit seems to be the catch based on what I have read to date. Any input, thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

YES -- we loved WalkAboutFlorence - check out their website - we did 2 day trips with them - THE BEST OF TUSCANY and the CHIANTI WINE & FOOD SAFARI - both spectacular - but the CHIANTI WINE & FOOD SAFARI may be more of what you are looking for - you can also check them out on TripAdvisor for reviews and photos - but def book through the WalkAboutFlorence website - they even mentioned this on the tour - to please avoid 3rd party booking companies like TripAdvisor/Viator. We learned a ton, saw gorgeous Tuscan countryside, had a great lunch and amazing wines. If you have more time, their BEST OF TUSCANY TOUR is also fantastic with more food and wine.

And ask if he can offer something
I think most of his tours leave from Siena but I believe he will customize

Definitely check out tours by Roberto, we went on a tour with him 5 years ago out of Florence and more recently this past September out of montepulciano. The first time we went with him they had a full course lunch at a winery which was delicious. The more recent time we had lunch at his farm with his brother cooking a full course lunch which was delicious as well.

His tours were always a highlight of our trips, we highly recommend him for the food, wine, scenery and the guides.

hey hey phulcrum
there may not be recent reviews because of pandemic with companies getting back on their feet and many people traveling now. probably many changes within companies, may have smaller groups on tours, may serve lunch and some may not, and prices gone up.
