I have not done this tour so can't vouch for it personally, but comes highly recommended by users on Tripadvisor. I hope to join one of their tours on my trip this summer. You don't do any tasting in Florence but are picked up there and taken to wineries in other parts of Tuscany.

RS recommends accidental tourist (http://www.accidentaltourist.com/). They pick you up in central Florence. I have booked them, and the process is easy, but I have yet to go on the tour so I can't say if I recommend one way or another. We leave in less than 3 weeks - very excited! I will say that their prices are significantly less than other wine tasting/cooking classes that I found on the web. Good luck!

The accidental tourist event isn't really a winery tour, though there is a wine tasting and the pasta cooking part sounds like fun. If you google "wine tours florence" a number of excellent alternatives will come up.

I think we are leaning towards a trip with viator.com. Does anyone have experience with this group?
