We are heading to Italy next week with RS - Venice, Florence and Rome trip. I do not think the Palazzo Vecchio is on our itinerary. Would you recommend booking a ticket in advance to include the museum? With a guide? If so, with what company? I see many are offered online - Viator, etc.

I think you should be fine just buying your ticket whenever you arrive at the Palazzo Vecchio. As for booking a guide, if that’s what you want to do, I would book with the guide directly rather than with Viator, which is a consolidator.

Why not talk to the RS tour guide when you arrive - chances are they will have some inside info to set you up with a tour/guide.
