[Florence] Uffizi and Duomo schedule on same day, 25 June?

Family of three visiting Florence, arriving Sunday 23 June at about 1:30 PM and departing Wednesday 26 June at about 10:30 AM.

Question is about reservations at Uffizi and Duomo.

The Uffizi appears broadly available during our dates as of now. I'm confused though, because while their site says they are closed on Mondays, it also seems to offer tickets all day on Monday 24 June. Is that just an error? I'm not sure how to check. How long can we safely wait before committing to ticket reservations? I'm nervous since they appear to be nonrefundable and not changeable, but I also don't want to miss seeing it, either.

For the Duomo, our primary interest was climbing the dome, so we need the scheduled tickets. It appears that tickets only remain for Tuesday 25 June, so I assume we need to act fast on those. Need to figure out the Uffizi part, though, so they don't end up in conflict. Is it feasible to do both in the same day without too much rushing?

Thank you!

I scheduled the Academia, Duomo climb, and Duomo museum for a single morning back in Sept 2022, the spent the afternoon at the Uffizi. Being able to do this, of course, depends on how much time you plan to spend at each. In my case, I booked the Academia for 08:15, then the Duomo climb around 10:00 and museum following. Nosh at 13:00, tickets to Uffizi at 14:00. I didn't spend any time inside the Duomo proper, but did spend about 15 minutes in the Basilica. I didn't climb the bell tower.

Note that the Duomo climb had been a bucket list item for years, and yes, you can see some details of its construction.

I would keep checking the website every couple of days and once slots around your date begin selling-out, then it's time to buy.

Oh brilliant, thank you all so much! This is excellent advice. I think I am leaning toward Uffizi during the day on 25 Jun, and then climb the Duomo late in the day, after peak heat has passed (since the morning tickets are gone).

That would allow us to perhaps make a day trip to Siena on the 24th, which we've been considering.

Since we can't climb in the morning, how late in the day is advisable to wait, since I imagine we'll be dealing with intense summer heat?
