We are traveling from La Spezia to Florence airport. Do you know how far is it from the main train station in Florence to the airport, and is there a regular schedule? And are there two airports in Florence or is Vespucci and Peretola the same?

Same airport...it was renamed in 1990 after the explorer from Florence for whom our continents are named. There's the "Volainubus" airport bus service from Florence SMN to the airport....5 Euro each way, I believe, and takes between 20 minutes and half an hour (if there's heavy traffic.) The bus station is off to your immediate right side as you exit SMN.
