Florence to Siena transportation

The bus trip is only an hour long and it drops you very close to the old section of town. You catch the bus from Florence just around the corner from the train station and I "think" it is a SITA bus. Have fun.

SITA is now called Busitalia in most of Central and North Italy.

I am struggling to find an English version for the bus schedule. Bus italia has no schedule link. Sita bus schedule not in English.

We just went to the station and bought them for that same day. The bus was not full. We bought a round trip ticket to be sure we had a way back.
FYI: If you go on a double decker, the upper level swings a lot just in case you get car sick easily.

We arrive in Florence by train and need to get to Siena with two suitcases. Am I correct that taking the bus would be the best option as it takes us into the city of Siena versus the bottom where we would have to walk up?
A: That is correct. However you don't necessarily have to walk up. You can also take a taxi from the station. The train Florence-Siena however takes 15 min longer because it has to go through a longer flat route, rather than through the hills like the freeway does.

Is the bus station across the street from the Florence train station??
Yes. BAR DEANNA side of the Piazza Stazione (Florentines don't understand north, south, east and west, ask for the Bar Deanna)
