The SITA bus station is located about 500' southwest of the main Florence train station. It is not the large bus area adjacent to the train station. Here's a link to a picture of the area. The SITA station is the group of buildings to the left of the train station. http://gyazo.com/0b1145d2743e1bd189bc191b176c5bc7 Take the Corse Rapide. It's the non-stop to Siena.

Lorraine, As Larry mentioned, the SITA Bus station is very close to Firenze SMN rail station. There are frequent departures from Florence to Siena via Corse Rapide (express) Buses as well as Corse Ordinarie Buses. As I recall, the difference in travel time between the two is only about 15 minutes. With travel by Bus, larger luggage items will be placed in the hold underneath, and you can keep carry-on size or smaller items with you. Be sure to watch the luggage area if the Bus stops, as luggage can "disappear" at times. Once you have your tickets and prior to boarding the Bus, BE SURE to validate your tickets or you could face hefty fines! You'll arrive in Siena in Piazza Gramsci, which is in the main part of town. It's relatively easy to walk from there to Il Campo or wherever you're going. Happy travels!
