Florence to Siena

I was planning on catching a morning train from Florence to Siena, but it looks like the only reservation I could get to the Uffizi is in the afternoon and the last train to Siena is at 6pm. Are there other ways to get between the two cities that might allow a later departure?

Thanks,
Brian

Call the Uffizi by phone. You may be able to make an earlier reservation even the website doesn't show it.

Brian,

I agree with the first reply. The SITA Bus is definitely a better option for that trip, as you'll be dropped in the centre of town, rather than the bottom of the hill where the rail station is located.

Have a look at www.sitabus.it/wps/portal/DovePartire_Toscana for the schedules. Click on the "Linea Firenze-Siena" for the times. Be sure to note which Buses run daily, only on weekdays or Saturdays. It appears there's a departure from Firenze (Florence) at 19:10 daily (if I'm reading the schedules correctly).

Happy travels!
