Advice, please: Is there a train from Florence to San Gimignano? Or do we take the train to Poggiobonsi, then the bus to San Gimi? Either way, what sort of time frame? Then, we could do a bus from San Gimi to Volterra, and a bus back to Florence? Many thanks in advance.

No trains to San Gimi, rent a car, might be more fun and more timely but do it at the airport, not in the city.
