Hi, does anyone know of cheapest and quickest way to get from florence to paris or pisa to paris? I am searching for flights online and they are either really expensive or terrible times. I thought city jet had that route but I can;t work the webiste! thank you.
Have you tried these websites?http://www.flylc.com/directall-en.asphttp://www.skyscanner.net/
Thank you, I checked out those websites and from what I can tell there is one flight from pisa to paris at 8 in the evening on easyjet for 90 pounds and then the rest are about 800 pounds. Is this the only options, I cant believe there isn't something more affordable out there. maybe I am searching too early in the season....any other ideas? i would prefer to leave pisa/florence in the morning for paris so i dont lost a whole day of my paris itinerary. Thanks.
Liz, I have looked at both www.flylc.com and www.whichbudget.com for budget flights into Paris-CDG, Paris-Orly or Beauvais (RyanAir). Easyjet appears to be the only budget airline that flies from Florence to Paris (Orly). RyanAir flies to Beauvais from Pisa. If you choose to take the train/bus to Malpensa, you can get Easyjet flights to Paris-CDG or AirBerlin into Paris-Orly.
One piece of information that you are not providing is your date of travel. The big secret on the budget airlines is that you have to book way in advance to get the cheapest fares. The closer in to the flight, the more expensive the fares get.
I looked up the Air France fare from FLR to Paris-CDG. $944. Big gulp.
the date is thurs may 7th. i was thinking that i might have to take a train to milan and then fly milan to paris. it looks like the best option. i thought they might add more flights during high season. i am naive and thinking back to when i was in spain a few years ago and hopped on flights are all over the place for dirt cheap - thought it might be similar. but i guess florence to paris is big ticket! thanks for your help.
If you want more daytime sightseeing hours in both Firenze and Paris, you could leave Firenze at 20:19 on a EuroStar Italia train to Milano and change there to the direct night train to Paris, arriving at 08:19.
I did this myself in May, actually. Totally go with Easyjet! I know the airports are a little far away, but its worth it. Once we got to Orly, we just took a cab to our hotel.
Also - I'm not sure if this is what you mean already or not - you should think of flying out of Pisa instead of Florence. I seem to remember that there were more options that way. And, since the airports are so small, checking in was really quick.
Edit: Just re-read your post. Definitely fly out of Pisa. Completely hassle-free for me and my friends.
