My wife and I (in our 70's), will be visiting Florence in the first third of a 2 month journey, staying in Florence 4 nights. We plan leave Florence by car and take about 5-6 nights car trip through Tuscany ending in Orvieto where we would hope to enjoy 2 nights there before taking the train on to Rome 4 nights then on to eastern Mediterranian by plane.
We were hoping to stay 1-2 nights in Siena if feasible but would like to leave by car from Florence. We don't enjoy cooking classes, nor would we enjoy working a vineyard for this trip. We are quiet people, enjoy art, nature, history, wine and tasting it. We enjoy towns and cities and hope to enjoy this leg of the journey on our road trip. We are open to an agricultural tourism site for quiet and location if this seems best for the journey.
Any suggestions or advice, either general or specific in this leg of the itinerary would be most welcome.
