We are flying in to Florence from Barcelona and then on to Monterosso by train. I noticed many Florence station options. Which is the correct one to take?

Florence Santa Maria Novella (SMN) is the main station, where airport buses arrive and Cinque Terre trains depart.

If you are coming from BCN then there are flights to Pisa with Vueling. Pisa is closer to the 5 Terre.

You can easily buy tickets at Firenze SMN when they arrive there. There's usually a queue at the staffed ticket office, but the Kiosks are very easy to use. As you may have noticed from the schedules, at least some of the trains on that route will be Regionale. DON'T forget to validate your tickets prior to boarding the train, or you'll risk hefty fines.
