Florence to Lucca

I will be in Florence 17 Sept and plan to spend 2 nights in Lucca. How would I get from Florence to Lucca without a car?

Very easy by train. The train to Lucca is a regionale (R) train. Very easy to buy tickets in the Florence train station at the self-service kiosk. Very easy as well there. The local R train is like your local bus or light rail system. You get on and find a seat. If none, you can stand.
