Florence to Arezzo for 9am Meeting

We will be arriving at our hotel in Florence by train from Naples in the afternoon of April 23rd. The next morning we need to be in Arezzo for a meeting at 9am, I'm trying to figure out the best way to make sure we arrive in time. Should we take a train to Arezzo and take a cab (if available) to our meeting.?

Or would it be easier to rent a car in Florence (the hotel has parking -Residenza Il Villino - Via della Pergola, 53 - 50121 and drive to Arezzo? The location is about 1 mile from the Arezzo 1A motorway exit.

By train I'd say either the 6:50 Freccia from Florence S.M.N getting you there at 7:23, or the 6:46 Regionale from Florence Campo di Marte getting you there by 7:42. Your hotel is about halfway between these 2 Florence stations. Should be able to get a cab at Arezzo station.

Driving out of via della Pergola is somewhat difficult as the zone is a real maze of one-way streets; on the other side, the motorway exit at Arezzo is really distant from the station. I would tell you to take the train, it should be easier and cheaper, even considering the taxi rides.
