Hello... My husband and I will be in Florence for only 2 days the beginning of Sept..... wondering if it's worth it to get the
Firenze card? Besides the Academia & the Uffizii, what would you say are the 4 or 5 other "must sees"?? We also want to
have time to just wander a bit in this beautiful city. What would you suggest??
Since it doesn't get you around the need to reserve entry times to the Accademia and Uffizi, and may make it harder to get a reservation if you want to climb the Duomo's dome, you might have a harder time to justify the 85 euro price. See updates at https://www.ricksteves.com/europe/italy/guidebook-updates and on their own site: http://www.firenzecard.it/index.php?lang=en. The Museo San Marco (monks cloisters with Fra Angelico frescos) and Michelangelo-decorated Capella di Medici are two of my other favorites. Of course, it's not my interest that gives way, but usually the stamina of my feet goes first; you may be more sturdy.
Patti, as Laura has already expressed, I don't think the card will be a good value for you unless you can get the full 72-hour value of it. There are also no "must sees" at all in Florence unless those attractions appeal to you personally. Shoot, I won't even recommend the Uffizi unless one has more than a passing interest in art.
If a bunch of us dumped lists of our own must-sees - and mine would involve much more than two days! - then it wouldn't be YOUR trip. What sorts of things are YOU interested in seeing during your stay? And what exact dates will you be in Florence? That's important as many attractions have regular weekly closing days.
And do you really have two FULL sightseeing days, or just two nights in Florence? There's a difference, and even 2 full days wouldn't leave you much for wandering time if you wanted to get the good of a pass. It would be a challenge even with 3 full days.
