Florence skip the line choice

Hello! We’d like to purchase skip the line tickets to see “David” at the Accademia Gallery. Any suggestions on where to buy these? Thanks! Peggy

Do you mean besides advance purchase of timed tickets (required for admission to the Accademia) from the official website?

Kathy, thank you for link. So, is “skip the line” tickets the same thing as just buying them in advance? Thanks! Peggy

Yes it is. There is one line to buy tickets and then there is the security line, which mysterious "third line" would you like to skip?

We purchased advance tickets online for first thing in the morning and had almost no line for tickets or security - this was just last month.

There are tour companies that sell "skip the line" tours to the Accademia, but they simply buy timed entry tickets and then provide them at a markup as part of their tour. Unless you specifically want a tour package (unnecessary for the Accademia imo), reserve the timed entry tickets yourself.

Yep. As Dario said, advance tickets ARE "skip the line": the ticket line. Pretty much all of the Italy's major attractions have security-check queues and those are the lines no one can skip. They are shorter - sometimes not much if any of a queue at all - and move along smartly, though. In short, to make sure you can get into the museum on the day/time of day you wish to, just order your tickets from the official website I've provided.

While it is possible to get into the Accademia without much of a ticket line, that seems to depend on the time of year and time of day.
