Florence - Saturday to Saturday

Hello, I am flying into Florence on Saturday for a week, now I see that Museums are not open on Sunday or Monday, so I am thinking this would be the ideal time to go explore another area, like Pisa? or Tuscany? Any ideas for any of this. I just don't want to waste a moment if possible. Thank you. Carolyn

Lucca by train. Nice little city behind the walls. Be sure to go to the Bargello in Florence. Train to Siena.

Most museums in Florence are open Sunday, but not Monday.
