Florence, Rome, Amalfi Coast

Some girlfriends and I are starting to plan a trip to Italy and the 3 main attractions for us are Florence, Rome and the Amalfi Coast. Is it a good idea to fly into Pisa, take a train to the Florence area for a few days, then down to Rome for a few days, then down to the Amalfi Coast for a few days, then back to Rome to fly home? Most of that can be done by train, yes?

Yes, you can fly in Pisa, (PSA) stop a few hours to see the tower, train to Florence, train to Rome, train to Naples, train to Sorrento, ( Amalfi Coast ) than bus to Naples airport (NAP) and fly home. Good trip!

All of the above can be done by train. Having a car in Florence, Rome, or Naples is a liabilty.
