I will be on a RS Tour in May and I am making plans for off times. Do I need advanced reservation to see the the Medici Chapel/Tomb and Michelangelo's Biblioteca Staircase at San Lorenzo Church?

You don't need reservations for the Medici chapels or the Basilica of San Lorenzo but the Vestibule of the Laurentian Library, where the staircase is, is noted as closed and they don't indicate when it'll open again.
