I will be visiting Florence with my family and was thinking of purchasing a PASSE-PARTOUT Family,
(https://www.uffizi.it/pagine/tessere-annuali). It says you can receive access for "2 adults and an unlimited number of children" to the Uffizi and several other museums, however, the website does not specify an age limit for children. Is anyone aware if there is an age limit for children?
Hi and welcome to the forum!
Yes, children would need to be under the age of 18.
That's the standard age limit for free entry to Italian state museums.
For instance, go to this page of the Uffizi's website...
https://www.uffizi.it/en/the-uffizi
....and click on "Eligibility criteria for free admission" under "Free Admission".
The first eligibility requirement reads:
"Children under 18 years of any nationality, showing passport or id card. Children younger than 12 must be accompanied by adults;"
Civic or private museums may have different age limits
This pass looks to be a differently named but essentially same version of the Amici degli Uffizi annual card, except the validity of that one is by solar year (January 1 to December 31st) and the Passe-Partout's extends a year from a chosen start date.
thank you for clarifying this, Kathy!
