I've been several times. The view of the Arno is wonderful. If you want a river view at dinner you will need a reservation. It's a nice place to stop even for just a drink or lunch being close to the Pontevechio (sp). They have an incredible "salad" which is a beautiful pear, cored and peeled sitting on top of a fan of pecorino fresco cheese, drizzled in honey and topped in walnuts. The pastas are home-made and I had one with artichokes that was delicious. I really like the place, and will go every time I'm in Florence.

Donna- Thank you for your reply. We get married at noon and are thinking of going there for our reception dinner (7 guests). Thank you, Pattie

I think it would be an excellent choice! It may be a bit pricey for some of the "Stevers" but it's charming, romantic, the food is excellent, and the drinks are fabulous! You'll also all get a "kick" out of their bathrooms! They're very unique and contemporary. Everyone has raved about Il Latini and I went there last year and it was crowded, everyone got served the same food, same appetizer, two distinct seatings and the steak was excellent, but the dining experience felt like we'd been pushed through a heard of cattle! I think you'll be much happier at Golden View! Congratulations on your wedding, and lucky you to be doing it in Florence!

Don't forget to have wedding pictures taken at Piazza Michelangelo on the very highest part of Florence! The back will be wonderful views of Tuscany and Florence! The sunsets are excellent! When are you getting married?!! This is bringing back beautiful memories of Florence, weddings, restaurants, and now I wanna go! lol. Just kidding
