Hi all, Our trip works out that we will be in Florence from Saturday afternoon (jet lagged) through Monday evening. I have read that many attractions are closed Sunday and Monday. Any advice as to what we can still see during those 2.5 days? We'd like to do as much as possible! Thanks!
I'm interested in knowing this as well. Not only are we there from Saturday afternoon through Monday but it is the 1st Sunday of the month too in the beginning of July. Ugh!
Check here www.visitflorence.com/florence-museums/open-on-mondays.html for the opening hours of the museums and other places you're likely to visit, and double-check at the specific websites to make sure.
The RS "Florence and Tuscany" book, and the RS "Italy" book each have a two-page spread with a listing of all of the top 20+ sights in Florence, with open and closed dates and times. Over the years, carrying the annually updated books, I have found the information to be unfailingly accurate. (When I didn't pay attention, as when the Bargello used to close at 1:00 pm, I was sorry!)
