Hi, can someone tell us what is open and what is closed in Florence on Apr 25 (Liberation Day) and Rome on May 1st (Labor Day)?

These are not holidays that tend to cause widespread closures, but sites can be very crowded. There are so many sights in these two cities that I suggest you look at the website for the museum or site you wish to see and see what the hours are. For example, on the Uffizi page you will see the closure dates are Jan 1, May 1, and Dec 25 as well as Mondays.

We were in Venice on April 25 and it was extra crowded with Italians on their holiday day off. I don’t femember anything being closed.
