Florence Museum Tickets/Passes/Skip the Line

Looking to purchase for beginning of Oct (I know it's late to do this) RS says to go to the website. It doesn't say anything if these are also skip the line, even though it is a timed entry, or is that implied since it is timed? Is this the best website to purchase for the "big" 3 museums, etc.? Are there any combo tickets worthwhile from any website? Any suggestions please ty.

Hello gritz,

The Academia official ticket site is here: https://www.galleriaaccademiafirenze.it/en/tickets/
Follow the link and click the Galleria Academia bar at the top to change the date. A random day in October still had plenty of tickets. The entrance is timed so just show up a few minutes early, get in the appropriate roped off area for your time and they'll let you in.

The Duomo has combo tickets that get you the Duomo, the Baptistry, the new Duomo museum (worth seeing), the basement Santa Renata and also climbing the Dome (timed) or climbing Giotto's tower (untimed). These passes are good for 3 days which is really great.

Uffizi tickets are timed entry. You will get a code and will need to redeem your code for tickets but the code holders have several dedicated windows and the process is fast.

This site also sells tickets for the Pitti Palace and the Boboli Gardens. The PassePartout 5 Days gives you five days to use the pass (once) at each venue. The pass is picked up the same way the Uffizi tickets are and the time starts from your timed Uffizi visit.

All sites have airport like security screening and no one gets to skip that time so many of the "skip the line" promises need to be taken with a grain of salt.

All these places handle crowds everyday and they are used to it/good at it so just pay attention and let them herd you through the process.

Have a great trip,

The only line you can skip is the line to buy entrance tickets on the day. You skip it simply buying the entrance tickets in advance. Quite obviously, if one has already purchased the entrance tickets online has no reason to wait in that line.

Then there is the security line and nobody skips it.

In short, "skip the line tickets" are way non European re-sellers use to make non European tourists pay more to get nothing more. Why you believe them is a mystery to me.

TY hiredman for the abundant info to get me going with confidence. TY Dario as well for stating the obvious but maybe not so obvious, marketing promises have their way as you state.
