Florence Museum Bookings

Hello All,

I am planning to book advance tickets to the Accademia and Uffizi gallery online, as we are visiting during a peak time but do not have enough time in Florence to make good use of a Firenze card. It looks like on old forums from 4-5 years ago, people were citing http://www.b-ticket.com/b-ticket/uffizi/ as an official place to buy advance tickets. Now, when I do a Google search, it appears that buying tickets from the museums' websites is the most official way to book. However, there is quite a difference in price between the two - the museum websites charge about 7 euros more per ticket than the b-ticket website, if I am remembering correctly. Normally, I would be suspicious of the b-ticket website since it doesn't seem like the official one, but since I read several old sources saying it used to be the main place to book, this makes it seem legitimate. I am inclined to book through the b-ticket website and save 7 euros per ticket. Does anybody have RECENT experience booking through the b-ticket website? Thanks in advance for any firsthand knowledge you might have.

Thanks for your reply. Yes, it looks like the Polo website links to the b-ticket website I was looking at. Wanted to make sure this was a legitimate choice, because when you Google "Uffizi tickets", the first several search results take you to "http://www.uffizi.org/buy-tickets/" instead, but this website charges 23 euro with all the fees (as opposed to around 16, I believe, on the b-ticket website). On the old forums from 4-5 years ago, people said the b-ticket website was the official one, but there were also reports of people paying and never getting their tickets, so I wanted to see if anybody has purchased from the b-ticket website recently. Hoping to not pay the extra 7 euros per ticket if it's not needed! Thanks again.
