Florence Late Arrival

Well, if I book the flight I'm looking at, I will arrive in the Florence airport at 10:40 (22:40). I plan on staying in hostels, or inexpensive hotels, but I also know that hostels generally have a time at night when check-in is no longer possible. Does anyone have a suggestion as to what I should do that first night, where I should stay? Thanks!

Some hotels/B&B are really cheap, less than $60/night. Search in www.Venere.com
As areas choose (on the left panel) the ones starting with Palazzo..., or starting with San/Santo/Santa, or the Cathedral or Uffizi. These areas are all in the historical center.

Roberto, that was a big help. Thank you. I'm so glad to be staying in a hotel, and not a hostel.

Even though a hotel may not have a curfew, the smaller ones often do not have desk staff 24/7. When booking a hotel, make sure they can accommodate your late arrival. In addition to making sure there's someone on duty, you don't want them giving your room away as a "no show."

Will, If you find a hotel that has 24 hour desk service, BE SURE to tell them that you'll be a late arrival. As a previous reply mentioned, they may give the room to other guests if you don't show up at a reasonable hour. Is there any possibility you could book an earlier flight? At that time of night, I'd suggest using a Taxi rather than the Shuttle. The airport is close to the city centre, so they have a "flat rate" for trips into town. It may be a bit higher at that time of night. Happy travels!
