Florence in November

I am traveling to Florence two weeks from now. How will the lines be at the Acadaemia and the Uffuzi on Friday and Saturday mid-November? Doing only the addition of Duomo climb/baptistery- should we get tickets individually or purchase the Firenze Card? Thanks in advance

I am in Florence right now and while the main tourist areas are busy midday the crowds are nothing compared to the summer and they will probably lessen in a few weeks. I did have a res for the Academia, but would not have needed it as there was not a line when I went. However, it does not cost a lot extra so if you don't want to risk it you could make a res. Hope you have good weather, it has been absolutely beautiful here this week:)

Thanks for the reply. Anyone else been in Florence mid-November?

I have and I was glad that I had a reservation to the Uffizi as the non-reservation line was extremely long. Wasn't a problem for the Acadamia, baptistery. We didn't climb the Duomo as my husband was afraid of heights.

First of all, don't bother with the Firenze card at 72E, just not worth the expense for the 3 places you mention. I just returned from 5 days in Florence with my daughter. We had tickets that I bought on line for The Academia for 9:30AM on a Saturday, and there was basically no line when we got there. It wasn't crowded at all. We skipped the climb up the Duomo and opted for the Michelangelo hill across the Arno for a wonderful view of all of Florence.

your hotel should be able to make reservations for you for the Uffuzi --that had a huge line when we went by around 1PM one day during our trip.

If you get to the sight early...right at opening, you should get in with out any trouble. We were in line at 945AM for the 10AM opening for the Duomo, there were 5-10 people in front of us....as we waiting 15 minutes, the line started to snake out behind us...it got long!
