Florence hotel Relais Villa Antea

Does anyone know if this hotel is still open? I have a credit from covid 2020 and would like to use it, but google says they are temporarily closed. They have no website and I've already emailed them using the address from our reservation.

I hope they haven't gone out of business. Not sure what all to do. If I was there I'd simply go there and see for myself.

Appreciate any response, thank you

How frustrating it must be. If I were desperately trying to find out. I would contact a nearby hotel, business or restaurant that is open and ask about the status of this hotel. Or I might contact the city of Florence or a Florence based hotel association and inquire (via email or phone - they all speak English and being a tourist destination, I’d think they’d help). Good luck!

Well I was able to find out the hotel is in the process of switching owners. I also was able to track down the previous owners, and sent them messages about my credit, but have heard nothing yet.

Is there any way to recover my credit? Is Italy providing reimbursements to tourists like in my situation? Just trying to gather information before I truly give up on this.

I too received a Covid 2020 credit from a small, 6 room "hotel" in Florence. They are still in business but they have raised their room rates, therefore I will be forced to pay the additional cost or forfeit the credit. Financially, it still makes sense for me to rebook. Originally I booked their most costly room so I asked if I could "downgrade" with my credit which would reduce the additional price increase. They denied that request -- pointing to the fact that my original booking was at a non-refundable rate for that specific room. Not much I can do -- so I rebooked and will pay the higher rate. I'm not going to let it ruin my trip to Italy this May -- that is hopefully if the pandemic cooperates!
