Florence Hotel near train station

We are two couples travelling in July looking for a hotel recommendations in Florence, close to the train station as we just have one night in between Venice and CT. Budget moderate, it will be the only hotel accommodation in our trip, rest AirBNB. Thank you

I'm negative about AirBnb as harmful to local housing markets. But a one-night guest really needs effortless luggage holding while they get their sightseeing started.

If you don’t find any recommendations in the many threads here then go to
Booking . Com
Use the filters for budget, location etc

I’d look for a location on the “front” side of SM Novella station -between station and Duomo

( not the backside as the above Airbnb is-not really “close to everything “)

Hotel Paris would be my pick if available

If you go to google maps and type in "main train station florence italy", It will show the location of several nearby hotels. You can click on the location markers to get to the hotel web sites to see if they will meet your needs.

I stayed at Antica Torre di Via Tornabuoni 1 for a few nights and loved it! A 10 minute walk from the station and you're right in the center too

We liked Hotel Albani Firenze which is on a quiet side street near the train station, yet an easy walk to the Duomo and the Arno River area. I do not know if it is moderate in price.

Thank you all for the specifics. We are aware we can use search engines but we were looking for specific recommendations from those who have experienced a positive stay

I’m in Florence now in an apartment, but in 2022 I stayed two nights at Hotel Adler Cavalieri on Via della Scala.
It’s only a 6-7 minute walk from SMN train station.
Clean, nice staff, old fashioned but lovely.
I would recommend it.

That being the case, check out Hotel California. On a few minutes taxi ride (less than $15) from the station. Beautiful facility, great breakfast, and the location is such you can walk to just about everthing.

I just spent 2 nights in Hotel Paris on Via dei Banchi a few blocks towards the Duomo from the Santa Maria Novella train station. Fairly standard rooms, but the staff was lovely, buffet breakfast was good, and the location fantastic. They stored our luggage all day, and even let my friend who was meeting me for the next leg leave hers as well. It was comfortable temps for October though, so I don't know about the A/C situation for July.
