We have an early morning flight out of Florence in June and are looking for suggestions for a hotel at or near the airport in Florence that would have a shuttle or that you can walk into the airport from. Thank you in advance for your suggestions.

The whole historical center of Florence is near the airport --- we have several times stayed in Florence and arranged a taxi for a very early flight.

Don't walk to the airport; the last half mile is not good at all.
There is little scope in staying in the nondescript suburbs a mile or so from the airport, you may as well stay in the center. Reserve a taxi the evening before by phoning at 055-4242 or 055-4390. The taxi will wait for you five minutes before the stated time and should take no more than 15 minutes to the airport in early morning hours.

Unlike most airports, the one in Florence is close to the city. It's the easiest trip to an airport ever.

How early is your flight?
If you are staying anywhere near the Tramvia line going to the airport, I believe the first tram leaves for the airport at 05:30.
Takes just over 20 minutes.
So easy.
Taxis take about 20 minutes to the airport.

Stay where you are in the city. A taxi can take you there in 15-20 min from the city center.
