Florence Firenzecard

Good Morning-
I'm wondering if the Firenzecard allows you priority access to non-timed entries. All I can find on the site states "entry into the first available visit slot."
This is our first trip to Italy, any suggestions for Florence are appreciated!

What month is your trip in? The general consensus is that it's not necessarily the best deal financially, but if you are traveling in prime season and have an ambitious travel itinerary, it may be worth jumping to the head of a few lines. If you are planning to see any of the popular sites with a tour guide, skip this pass! You also won't need the buses at all unless you are staying far outside the old town limits. We were in Oltrarno and still walked everywhere easily.

We had 4 days, 3 nights, and got the Brunelleschi Pass w/ timed cupola climb & only got to Giotto's Bell Tower climb, so it was a bit of a waste. Separately we saw the Bargello w/ tour, Medici Chapel, hiked to the top of San Miniato for evening vespers (beautiful Gregorian chant) around 6:30pm, took a 6.5 hr guided tour into Academia & Ufizzi w/ a walk around the main highlights, entered a few churches (Santo Spirito, Orsanmichele--only the back and exterior, and Basilica di Santa Trinita). We spent the rest of our time walking around, eating gelato, waiting in line at All'Antico Vinaio for their amazing sandwiches, having leisurely dinners at restaurants, and resting at our hotel taking in the bells and views. It was awesome! Buy the lemon almond cookies from Migone. Oh.my.word.

Thank you so much for your resonse- we have onlt 2.5 days in Florence and have a pretty agressive schedule. So, are you saying you get skip the line privileges with the Firenze Card?

Maggie, you don't have priority entrance with ALL of the attractions covered under the card if they require advanced, timed-entry reservations: see the FAQ section of the Firenzecard website.

The site will tell you how to make those reservations. Maybe you already knew that but it's not clear from your post. Some of the other attractions may or may not provide priority entrance but are not busy enough for ticket-line skipping to be a benefit.
