Duomo Free for kids?

Hi Fellow Travelers,

I am buying tickets for the Duomo museums (not the climb; missed it). On the web page for ticket purchase, there is a full price ticket option and a reduced price, but nowhere does the site qualify these terms. I know my husband and I are full, but what about my kids (9, 12, 14)? I think they are free? So I think I should buy only two full price tickets, right?

And then am I understanding the instructions for ticket use:

"Valid for 6 days from the date selected for the visit on the calendar at the moment of the purchase"
= when I use the ticket the first time, it must be within 6 days of the date I enter on the website (ex. July 10)?
"Usable for 48 hours from the first passage"
= once I use it that first time, I can visit the sites one at a time over for 48 hrs if I choose?
"One entry to each site" = one visit to each site over those 48 hours (as opposed to being able to enter each site as often as I want for 48 hours)
"Direct access without going through the cashier queue"
= Im guessing there's a clear entrance for people who already have tickets
...
"Optional - recommended - booking for the Bell Tower and the Museum"
= um, why?

Thanks everyone (20 days and counting) ...
Jessica
