Hello!
I saw this question posted on another group and no one seemed to have the answer. When you buy the Brunelleschi pass to climb the dome, you pick a specific time to actually do the climb and then you have 3 days to do the other stuff, right? However, if you wanted to do the climb at say 3pm, can you do some of the other stuff in the morning? Or do you have to climb the dome first? I’m just trying to plan my time and don’t want to climb the dome and tower on the same day - need some rest in between! Any advice would be helpful for timing on all the different sites.
Hi there -
Apparently, yes! This from the duomo's FAQ page:
https://tickets.duomo.firenze.it/en/store#/en/support/faq
Can I Enter the Monuments Before the Booked Time Slot?
For all available Passes - Brunelleschi, Giotto, Ghiberti - you must book an access slot (which cannot be changed or cancelled) on the first day of validity of the ticket. If your slot for the Dome, the Bell Tower or Santa Reparata is set in the afternoon, you can still enter the OTHER monuments included in the ticket even before the one booked, as long as it is on the day of validity.
For example: I booked a Giotto Pass with a climb to the Bell Tower on April 4th at 12.30 pm, I can enter the Museum or the Baptistery before 12.30 pm; I cannot enter any monument on April 3rd. The 3-day validity for all Passes starts from the first day of visit (4, 5, 6 April in the example)."
So you're good to go as long as it's a day another of the monuments you wish to see is open. Yay!
That is exactly what I was looking for! Thank you!
You're welcome! Have a great time in fascinating Firenze!
